Microsoft Office contains an array of applications that are used in the workplace and in individual’s personal lives. These applications have the ability to perform an array of tasks that can be customized to personally fit an individual’s needs. They also are compatible with other software applications and are generally a staple of software programs.

Software applications have been very informational in regards to learning Power Point and expanding my knowledge in word and Excel. PowerPoint is a Microsoft program that is included in Microsoft Office. It is generally used for creating presentations for an audience. The presentation could be pictures in a slideshow, text formation or a combination of both.

Our company currently uses Prezi to do presentations. Prezi is a cloud based presentation program that presents in a unique way. It allows you to create, share and present a more visual presentation. The problem with Prezi is that it can get really expensive, because you have to buy a license for each individual user. We currently have 800 people that are just in a supervisory role that would use Prezi with their employees.

I am currently trying to introduce using PowerPoint instead of Prezi. All laptops and computers come with Microsoft Office installed, there would be no coast associated with it. Everyone in the company would be able to create and view presentations

I plan to use PowerPoint to show how project supervisors can use this software to their advantage. It is user friendly; it can be customized and with the correct training can present a visual presentation. If implemented, I plan on learning more about PowerPoint, so that I can train or create instructions, on the field can use PowerPoint to their advantage.
