Introduction

The purpose of this scaling study is to identify the difference of eating habits and spend habits between men and women when pertaining to dining out. A short questionnaire was developed and the same nine questions were distributed to five men and five women in a controlled environment. In developing this survey, questions were composed of two different types of questions. Some questions gave the participants the option to answer by supplying a multiple choice answer while other questions were answered by a numerical response from the participant. The question within this survey were designed this to enhance the reliability and validity of each answer that was supplied to answer the survey.

Research Procedures

The research design of this study was used by incorporating communication and interaction between the interviewer and interviewee. In order to conduct the survey, personal interview do ask the question, record each person’s response, and clarify any questions that need further instruction.

On July 17, 2010 the 10 people that participated in the survey were administered the survey by telephone. Everyone that participated in the survey was given instructions as to what the purpose of the survey consist of. As means of gathering accurate information from each participant, all participants gave information on their own free will and each participant supplied information only for the questions that they only felt comfortable answering.

Research Data

“Table 1” was information that was recorded from the female participants and “Table 2” was information that was recorded from the male participants.
