1) Do you agree with the film’s premise that the Corporation is the dominant institution of our time?  Why or why not?

Aristotle, the great Greek philosopher, once said and I quote “Human is a Social Animal” and all his life revolves around his society throughout his tradition, religion, science and business. However, the business in Corporations in the 20th Century has had evolved globally, impacting the nation’s social believes, economical powers and their political views.

What is a Corporation? Corporation is “A separate legal entity that has been incorporated through a legislative or registration process established through legislation. Incorporated entities have legal rights and liabilities, and may conduct business for profit-seeking business.”[1] Yet Corporations such as Roman Catholic Church, United Nations, and World Bank are becoming the most powerful institutions of our time, nevertheless Corporations like Apple, General Electric, City Bank, and many other big well known Corporations will continue to dominate the nations’ economy of scale. Nevertheless, I tend to agree with the film; that such Corporations are the Puzzle’s main building blocks to complete the Society’s overall picture. As these Corporations are having the empowerment to control the choices of products and services surrounding our lives to changing the Nations’ subsists on the global economic scale.  

2) What implications does your view have for the role of business and how it operates?

Corporations are building pillars of our societies and nations, however it is crucial for businesses to understand the followings:

- ‘Ethical Values and believes’ Corporations in the 20th Century are perusing to increase their shareholders profits, neglecting all other aspects and moral obligations, “As to their social responsibility towards their societies and nations.”
