Research Process

Data sets can show many aspects of life on different topics. The CIA global demographics data set explains factors that affect the economy within countries across the globe. The research problem will be defined and why this information is important will be explored. Possible outcomes for the research will be covered as well as the variables that will be tested. This research study will investigate how a lower literacy rate, life expectancy, and a lower percentage of the population over 65 affect a higher unemployment rate.

Purpose of Research

Research Problem

When looking at statistics from around the world, one can obtain an abundance of essential information about countries and the economy. The problem identified with the CIA global demographics research data set is that many countries have millions of citizens and the workforce is limited which effects other aspects of the local economies. Unemployment rates are as high as thirty percent in some countries leaving hundreds of thousands of people without work and a way to support them. High unemployment rates which leave citizens without an income can also have an effect on the life expectancy of country. With an increasingly competitive world, literacy is on the rise throughout the world. Many people are finding ways to become more informed and are acquiring more skills.

Research Importance

Researching countries around the world and the statistics that describe the economy and the effects thereof is an important task to be accomplished. Having knowledge about what transpires around the world will better prepare those who are capable to help with the situation.
