As the voices of our society the music industry has a huge impact on our social views on almost everything. so when rappers or singers come out with songs that revolve around sex, drugs and violence that is what the listeners thing is okay to do, and that listener might be a ten year old little girl or a eighty year old man. That is why the music industry needs to focus on better subjects, like poverty, government corruption and today's’ schooling problems, although there is raps about the typical rapper deeds such as drugs and alcohol Lupe Fiasco addresses a lot of these world problems when he released the album “Lasers”.

There are 14 tracks on the rap artist Lupe Fiasco's' album Lasers, accompanied with the usual raps about illegal activities, drugs and alcohol, and each track enlightens the listener about the current problems in our worlds society. As the people in our world face these problems they need someone to help them out and be their voice. A influential and motivational individual is a perfect subject to be that voice. On the album Lupe is arguing that the government is corrupting our youth and teaching them subjects that will not benefit our future and teaching us stuff that they will never apply. He also states that the government is taking our money and putting it forward towards non-relevant things such as war, or a fake war conspiracy as Lupe says, and not putting it towards our future, the schooling for children.

In Lupes’ song Words I Never Said the first line is him lecturing us about how the government is covering up our problems and not taking care of the real problems in our nation.
