o How do you feel about your math abilities and how has this course influenced your feelings about math?

o What study methods or techniques worked or didn’t work for you as you made your way through this course?

o Did this course help you overcome any mathematical anxiety?

o If you could change something about this course, what would it be and why?

o Are there any particular strategies that you are going to use this week in order to prepare for the final exam?

I find math to be incredibly frustrating at times but I love the way it challenges my mind. I understand how to do the calculations but the principles I don’t always understand. Math is like a riddle or puzzle and I’ve always been fascinated with both. To study for it I take a piece of the puzzle and work on it until I completely understand it and then proceed to the next piece. When I first started this class I as afraid that I had forgotten all I had learned before about math. But once I got into it and began reading the chapters it all started coming back to me. Even the terminology was familiar to me. This made me feel more at ease and I was able to complete my work without much anxiety. I wouldn’t change anything about this course because if you just read the chapters and do the exercises you will learn. Each segment has its own example and shows you step by step how to solve the problem or equation. You also have multiple chances to take the tests at the end of the week. After taking the tests and you don’t have a perfect score, a study plan is generated based on the problems you missed. You can then study what you missed and try it again. How cool is that? To prepare for the final exam I plan on reviewing the homework problems we have done over the period of the course and reviewing the chapters and my highlights that I have in my textbook. I will familiarize myself with the order of operations and all the principles so that when these problems arise I will be ready for them.
