Abstract

The Goodness Falls Improvement Council is a 501 (c)(3) organization in Goodness Falls, Mississippi that is responsible for creative, innovative programs that feed the hungry, house the homeless, support law enforcement and protect the environment. GFIC is an established nonprofit and has been in existence for fifteen years. The mayor mentioned in a recent town hall meeting that the township was in need of several items for the city and the Police Department. In order to avoid raising taxes to cover these items, he suggested finding committees or an established nonprofit to help with these needs. The GFIC agreed to sponsor a marketing campaign that includes online donating to raise funds to purchase two motorcycles on the mayor’s list. This campaign spotlights two new annual events, “Shop With A Cop” and “Cops On Bikes” with one hundred percent of all proceeds going toward the purchase of the two motorcycles this year. Other items on the mayor’s list will be provided through other resources.
