There have being many problems with WIFI security in today’s world. Many of these problems jeopardize consumer information such as credit card and other things. I believe that these problems needs to be address properly because the more it is left alone, the bigger it becomes. There has being many times where hackers have stolen very sensitive information in the past and it can keep happening in the future if we are not careful. These hackers have stolen credit card numbers from major stores such like Sony and target. They also have stolen important information from companies in order to best the competition.

One of this stores that had a problem with wireless security was target. Hackers attack target and stole very sensitive data they stole credit card and debit accounts from their WIFI. This happen as well because the store had WEP which is outdated and hackers can just hack it by just sitting in the parking lot and entering their WIFI and using a program to get all their information and decode it. It can also be that these stores don’t put a lot of plans to keep their WIFI security very high. This incident just happened in January 2014 which wasn’t too long ago. This is a very bad thing from the store because people will question if they can shop in the store and be comfortable that their data is safe and nothing will happen to it so many customers might not want to shop in target because their debit card was stolen and their information.

Another of these big companies that had problem with security would have being Sony. Sony also lost many credit card and very sensitive information about their subscriber to the PSN network. The PSN network had many information from all the people that had agree to SONY terms, this information includes full name and address and other things.
