Although many people believe that affirmative action is a form of racism, it is actually used to
help minorities find employment in an otherwise racist world. At our company we need to make
sure that we become an equal opportunity employer. We need to make sure that we are following
guidelines to make sure that we become an employer that people want to work for. Without
affirmative action we would not be where we are as a company.
As a company we should collect data that will help us understand if we have enough men,
women and minorities working at our company. Then we could hold a meeting and hand out a
questionnaire to have employees to answer, this way we know how the employees are feeling
about the company and how they feel about the different men, women and minority groups that
are with the company. This way as a company we are an equal opportunity employer, but at the
same time we are getting qualified employees that are men, women and minorities. This will
help our company succeed to the fullest, with the best employees that a company could have.
We would have to make sure that with the equal opportunity employer status that we also
