1. The structure that is used to run the Svensk Handelsbanken bank has both advantages and disadvantages pertaining to staff members, customers and also to the whole country. The operations of the bank through the branches, which are situated all over the country, have highly contributed to the success of the Svensk Handelsbanken’s bank without any competition issues from other banks (Poppendieck & Poppendieck,2006). The bank has various branches in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Great Britain as well in Denmark. The structure creates various job opportunities all over these countries. For example, managers and employees would be needed for the operation of the bank hence the job opportunities. On the other hand, the structure has also enabled the ongoing work of various companies due to its ability to offer both internal and external services. They offer a wide range of closely integrated services to these companies hence the development of many companies. The Svensk Handelsbanken structure is also advantageous to the environment. The bank is able to use the information technology in the banking transactions, which causes less usage of paper and high cost in transport. The two are impacts to the environment, as the polyphone papers do not decompose causing pollution to the environment. There has been a lot of saving among the customers, for they have minimized the transport cost to and from the bank. With the great structure at Svensk Handelsbankens bank, the employees have not had to spend money on their health issues. The bank has been providing various services to the employees such as health services which are cheap and affordable to everyone (Poppendieck & Poppendieck, 2006).
