Juvenile Parole Officer | The Juvenile Parole Officer assists youths and families in navigating the juvenile justice system. He/She supervises, advocates, refers and coordinates services for youth and their families, which assists them in becoming productive citizens. The juvenile Parole Officer helps youth adhere to the conditions set forth by the court and holds youth accountable for his/her actions. The juvenile Parole Officer provide consistent management of services based on youth's individual needs. | 1. Attend court, testify, and provide information to the court.2. Hold youth accountable for conditions of the court order and the service plan conduct risk/needs assessment. 3. Conduct drug screens within 30 days of case management and regular intervals according to the level of supervision.4. The juvenile Parole Officer must have excellent communications skills so he/she can communicate with the juveniles and their families in appropriate ways.5. Responsibility on the job is a must and above all respect for the juveniles and their families at all times. | These skills are needed to succeed in this position because if the Juvenile Parole Officer fails to conduct his/her duties them he/she could get fired or seriously punished.
