Title: The schoolboy’s relationship with his parents and its impact on their school life

Author: 44575726

Mr. A. Figgens Principle Rocky Middle School 2013 – 05 – 25 RE: Research proposal: Home stress in boys and its impact on school life This letter is a suggestion to addressing some of the issues that have been discussed, on numerous occasions, by teachers and even some parents. As school counselor, I realize that teaching is becoming an increasingly tougher occupation and many teachers are struggling to understand why students’, especially boys, grades at the school are on the decline. In current times, with the economy being the way it is, we can only predict that the lives of many families have been forced into change in order to adapt and survive. This could have a major effect on the home life of many students as it could add stress to their home life and the relationships they have with their parents. Many teachers report that students, who have often been good students with good grades, are starting to lose focus of their studies, their attitudes are changing, and the scores are dropping. I suggest that we invest some time to investigate what some of the reasons for this might be; with particular attention on the current home life of the boy students and the relationships they have with their parents. Please note that this proposal will need to be ethically approved and will need financial support to be able to be concluded. I hope that, after reading through the proposal, that you will see the need for the faculty to understand the students better in order to better support and help students in the future. Yours sincerely, J. Marope
