“Hey!!! Where are you guys coming from?” is what Mrs. Hischar said to me and my friends during my freshman year at Don Lugo. At the time I was with my best friends Will and Erika when this incident occurred. Will and Erika were the type of people that were always getting in trouble and did not really care what people thought. Even though I was always hanging out with them, I was actually the complete opposite.

I was in my first period, which was my P.E. class that was taught by Mrs. Ragland. I arrived late into the locker room to get dressed into my P.E. clothes, which is why I was in a rush and the last person out of the locker room. I quickly got changed and ran out to my number and barely made it on time. That day our class was playing volleyball and we had to get into teams of six. Two of my teammates were Will and Erika, which were in my class. We kept beating all of the teams, but the teams did not know that we were cheating by making up rules that made absolutely no sense. It was only a matter of time until one of the teams got frustrated and told the teacher that we were cheating. If we would’ve known that the teacher would make us run laps after class we would have never cheated. Well, when everyone else went to get changed inside the locker room we were running laps. When we were finished running the long laps, I was once again the last one inside the locker room. I quickly got changed and I went outside to hangout with Will and Erika and wait for the bell to ring. After a few minutes of joking around, I realized that I didn’t have my backpack. I nervously rushed back into the locker room and opened my locker and found myself in the worst position that I could possibly think of. I asked the P.E. teachers if they had seen a black Jansport backpack. Every single teacher rudely told me that it is not their responsibility to be looking for lost backpacks.
