Week 2 Video Analysis

Problem 1:

Management is assigning underqualified personal (Nick) to take on major projects. By management assigning underqualified personal for such projects it is setting the personal and project up to fail.

Solution 1:

CanGo’s management needs to analysis their employees’ strengths and assign qualified personal to oversee a project of this size and let the unqualified person be in the process so they can learn for future projects that may come up.

Problem 2:

The work environment of CanGo lacks discipline and structure. The breakdown of the company consists of owner, office manager, and office personal. The office staff does not seem to have their own delegation of tasks or duties.

Solution 2:

CanGo needs to establish job titles and job duties that are specific and assign them to personal accordingly.

Problem 3:

CanGo is preparing to launch an online gaming division and has not done an analysis as to the effects of this division on the company to determine if the online gaming division is a good business decision.

Solution 3:

CanGo needs to conduct a proper Business Case Analysis. “Business case analysis (BCA) can be defined as a decision support and planning tool that projects the likely financial results and other business consequences of an action.” (Schmidt, 2016) A proper Business Case Analysis will allow the company to make an informed decision on the online gaming division. A proper business case analysis will consist of “Case Introduction /Overview, Case Assumptions/Methods , Projected Business Results, Sensitivity / Risk Analysis, and Conclusions / Recommendations.”
