Understanding a company’s cash flow health is essential in making decisions. A good way to judge a company’s cash flow prospect is to look at its working capital management.

Working capital is an accounting term for what is left over when current liabilities are subtracted from current assets. Practically, it is the money in the bank that can be used to pay the running cost and expenses, and buy inventory while waiting to get paid by business customers. Taking stock of a business working capital makes sure business can meet its financial needs. Positive working capital means that the company is able to pay off its short term liabilities.
