FOREWORD

The Department of Retail &Logistics Management at Midlands State University introduced the attachment program in its learning curriculum with the aim of giving students a chance to implement theoretical knowledge gained at the institution with practical skills obtaining at the workplace. This initiative requires that students complete a minimum of 10 months in relevant industries. The students are required to compile two reports (1) a preliminary report to be submitted three months into the attachment period (2) the final report to be submitted at the end of the attachment period accompanied by the supervisors report (both the university work related learning supervisor and the company appointed supervisor)..

The following are the objectives of Industrial attachment:

* To enable students to marry theory to practice in real world business situations that often involves decision making.
