Sunbeam is an American brand that has produced electric home appliances since 1910. The company survived a number of economic ups and downs, from the acquisition of John Oster manufacturing company in 1960 to the stock market crash and bankruptcy in the 1980’s and the hostile takeover in 1989 by an investment group Japonica partners who renamed the company Sunbeam-Oster company. The group turned the company around increasing sales by 7% which put them on the Fortune 500 list by the early 1990’s. Today, Sunbeam-Oster is owned by Jarden Corporation who has continued to grow their brands through product innovation that focuses on keeping the brands relevant and bringing functional improvements to consumers. They provide high quality toaster ovens to consumers around the world which secured a spot on the top ten list. The Sunbeam toaster oven is a multi-purpose compact appliance that does everything a traditional oven can do with the same ease and efficiency.
