PepsiCo

The company that I have chosen to utilize during this class is PepsiCo. I mainly chose this company because I love their products and also because my was an employee there and can give me more in depth knowledge about the company at the employee level. I can also find a lot of information about the company on the internet on their website, www.pepsico.com to help with the assignments for this class.

Every time my daughter and I have to go to the commissary, we always get products of PepsiCo. I am not particular about other products or brands as I am with PepsiCo so I feel I have a personal connection to the company as well.

According to PepsiCo’s website their mission is considered a promise to their investors and it states, “Our mission is to be the world's premier consumer products’ company focused on convenient foods and beverages. We seek to produce financial rewards to investors as we provide opportunities for growth and enrichment to our employees, our business partners and the communities in which we operate. And in everything we do, we strive for honesty, fairness and integrity.”

The vision that PepsiCo wants to convey is that it is all about improving the environment in every aspect. According to their website “Our vision is put into action through programs and a focus on environmental stewardship, activities to benefit society, and a commitment to build shareholder value by making PepsiCo a truly sustainable company.”

As part of PepsiCo’s goals, they believe being a responsible corporate citizen is not only the right thing to do, but the right thing to do for their business, (PepsiCo, 2010). Based on my research on the PepsiCo website I believe that the goals and objectives of PepsiCo focus on the better of the community, the employees as well as the products and the consumers.
