LEARNING STYLES

            Learning involves the stages of processing knowledge gained from the environment through studying, experience, or being taught. Many people prefer to use different learning techniques. Some people make use of a specific learning style, and hardly use other techniques.  On the other hand, others make use of different learning styles in diverse situations in order to develop a broader range of knowledge. Learning styles can be grouped into three main sectors: visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic learning styles ("Overview of learning styles," 2014). Each of these sectors have their own significance and way of working.

            The first learning style is visual learning, which works by presenting information in a visual manner. Visual learning uses images, colors, pictures, and helps visual learners understand and interact with others. Also, visual learners are exceptional in reading body language, memorizing, remembering visual objects, and they are efficient in recalling whatever they have written down ("Learning styles," 2008). In addition, these types of learners adopt a system of studying in a quiet environment that will help to speed up their understanding and avoid distractions. Although they are good at spelling words, visual learners struggle to remember names and get confused when it comes to verbal activities ("Learning styles," 2008). Visual learners require time to figure out things, such as class lectures, and they are always worried when it is mandatory to study in group. This group of learners enjoy making outline readings, drawing diagrams, and note taking.

Conversely, auditory learning has different characteristics than visual learning and works in different settings. Some auditory learners  have broad knowledge in music, which it appears in their activities.
