Personal Experience

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himselfas a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. (Ephesians 5: 25 – 28)

This scripture has motivated my future husband and I in our relationship and it has been good. Eventhough, you know you are made for each other and it has been ordained by God, there are ups and downs. God has just been there at the right time to talk to us, let us be there for eachother and made us aware that He is No. 1 in any situation.

“Jomo” as I normally call him is the sweetest bestfriend I have ever got. I do not know how he does it but he is able to take care of me, be there for me, comfort me when am sad and ready to make any sacrifice for me. I know he has done this by the help of the Almighty God. We always have it behind our minds that its God who brought as together. Thus, in anything we do we must seek from advice from Him. He never gives up and even when in his worst mood he just cannot hide that lovely smile when our eyes meet. He is the sweetest guy you can ever meet. With Ephesians 5:25-28 as our backbone, we submit to each other without even realising.

Don’t get me wrong and think we never have issues. Mehn!!! We do have issues but the most interesting part about it is that we solve them as soon as possible. As the adage goes, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. The single ones out there do not be walking around wishing your relationship was like someones own because you do not know what you wishing for. But instead pray that God shapes and moulds your relationship for you. The interesting thing is anytime we have an issue and we solve it the LOVE just grows its amazing.!!!!
