A healthy retirement

Jim:  Healthy things......cutting the grass (exercise), he takkes medication to prevent heart attacks

Jim:  Not-So-Healthy..... Overweight, smokes, sits around too much

Nancy: Healthy things..... Swims and lift weights, 

Nancy:  Not-So-Healthy..... Overweight, eats pie, eats until is stuffed not satisfied, heartburn or possible heartattack, sits around too much, high cholesterol, high blood glucose. 

2. diabetes (Nancy's BG is 128 and it's too high), High Blood Pressure (Nancy's BP 138/85) pry hypertensive(hypertension), obesity (overwight and high LDL and cholesterol), atherosclerosis ( high LDL and cholesterol, diabetes), heart disease (all of the above are riskk factors).

4. Nancy's back pain, fatigue, nausea, and shortness of breath are typical

for women. Because the symptoms are different from typical male symptoms they are called 'angina. Women do not usually experience chest pain.

When your heart muscle isn't getting enough oxygen, it causes a condition called ischemia.

The most common cause of reduced blood flow to your heart muscle is coronary artery disease (CAD). Your heart (coronary) arteries can become narrowed by fatty deposits called plaques. This is called atherosclerosis.
