Project Charter

Apple Inc. authorizes the Apple iDirectory app project which will develop an app that integrates store directories and building layouts into Apple maps. The project will also deliver to Apple a fully functioning iDirectory add-on for apple maps for testing use to determine the Viability and usability of the app. Brian Quinn the development manager will act as the executive sponsor for this project. Jennifer Kirby also a sponsor, will be act as the project manager and is tasked with planning, executing, monitoring, controlling the design and verification of the Apple iDirectory app. David Esslam and Janette Saville are also important sponsors for the project.

The project manager should make a report to the Project Management Office (PMO) chair on a weekly basis in order to make it easy to organize PMO meetings at important app development stages. Only the amount recommended by the PMO and any other miscellaneous amounts may be issued out to the human resource management in form of finances. The PMO office will organize external auditors to review all the procurement requests.

Preliminary Project Scope Statement

The app will feature interior building layouts in the same manner that Apple Maps currently displays city layouts. It will feature layouts and directories for retail locations including department and grocery stores, stadium seating layouts, school building and classroom directories, civic buildings and library layouts. Its core objective will be to create a fully functioning Apple iDirectory app for use within Apple Maps.
