A. COMPANY BACKGROUND

HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

P&B Valises ET Compagnie, Inc. is a manufacturing company of turn of the century furniture, travelling trunks and paraphernalia. The turn of the century concept was conceived with the intent to recreate and develop high quality luggage with applications to home furnishings, lifestyle, leisure and travel.

It was established in 1986 with purely high quality luggage and opened a small shop at Shangri La Hotel in Makati City. Recognition by the local government and international media has also helped P&B to a position as market leaders in their specialty. P&B were the recipient of the prestigious Golden Shell Award by the Philippine Government’s Department of Trade and Industry in 1992.

The Golden Shell Award is a tribute to outstanding entrepreneurs whose products have earned the Philippine’s distinction in the international market. P&B was also awarded “Employer of the Year” under the administration of President Corazon Aquino.

COMPANY PRODUCTS / SERVICES AND CLIENTS

Through the years, the product range now includes furniture, hand-side luggage, trunks, home, travel and desk accessories, sport and gaming paraphernalia that are now legendary icons of the present. Diplomats, famous celebrities in the movies and television and in the social world as well as politicians are some of the clients of P&B.

All P&B product lines are handcrafted using traditional skills, methods and materials. These include hand-woven natural fibers, hand forged and boiled brass, hardwood and embossed vegetable tanned hides (leather).

All hardware and fittering are exact reproduction of antique luggage and travel accessories from the late 19th and early 20th century.
