SUMMARY

The main focus of this report is to show the development of Airline Transport industry in India and to highlight the marketing aspects of the leading players of the industry. The importance of the airline industry can be attributed to the fast movement demands of men and material. Today, time is a very important factor that is considered to be precious. People are not ready to waste their time. So in order to minimize the wastage of time in travelling quick means of transportation are mandatory. The airline industry comes into picture at this point and hence it becomes important to understand the industry of airlines. The study has been done by taking five top players in the industry namely Air India, Kingfisher Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Jet Airways and Lufthansa airlines which are all three to five star rated companies. All the above companies have their operations in India. The five companies are compared on the basis of their ranking and their key marketing strategies. Right from the history of the company to its current operations and statistics, all the details are given with the sole aim of understanding the industry better.
