On a dark and cold stormy night Dick and Lauren were fast asleep.

Dick is a single 36 year old man living with his 16 year old daughter Lauren. All of a sudden he hears a random noise. Dick wakes up Lauren and they quickly head down stairs. He thought he saw the doorknob move. Lauren, heart pounding and hands shaking whispers, “Dad I’m really scared”.

Dick grabbed the biggest, sharpest knife he could find. He started for the door. Lauren’s shouted “STOP! Don’t move at all”. She started to walk towards him. She stopped,then slowly turned around and walked the other way. When she reached the stairs, she jumped around and yelled “BOO!”. Dick yelled so loud that to them it felt like the house was shaking.

Lauren turned and started to walk up the stairs. As she was walking up them she felt something push her down. Lauren was startled and looked around the room. She was so scared that she got up and ran up the stairs. When she got to her bedroom she called her boyfriend Bruce. In a low scared whisper, she left bruce a voicemail, “Bruce we need your help. Come to my house with some sharp knives or something now.” “And please HURRY”.

Meanwhile, Dick was about to grab the doorknob when he saw that his knife was gone. Confused as to why it was missing he searched the house. He couldn’t find it anywhere so he turned to walk back to the door and there it was. Floating in the air was his knife.He shrieked like a little

school girl and ran up the stairs. When he got to the top of the stairs he saw Lauren hanging up the phone.

“Who were you talking to?” Dick asked, heart pounding like a drum. “I was calling Bruce to have him come here and help us out.” They hid An hour later Bruce shows up with some sharp knives and a baseball

in the upstairs guest room waiting for Bruce to get there. bat. Lauren saw him through the window and whisper-yelled “Go through the back door!” Dick...
