Abstract

aware of the issues surrounding each so that they will be able to help clients more effectively.

Prayer plays a large part in the lives of many religious people, and sometimes, clients desire

prayer to be a part of their therapy. Instead of ignoring the topics of religion and prayer, mental

health practitioners need to be aware of the ethical guidelines surrounding these issues. Also,

they should be educated in when and how to incorporate spiritual treatment methods into therapy
