“Implications for HR Practices in Other Companies” where you explain what other companies can learn from the company you are studying. This is the one section of the paper where you are analyzing what you have learned and extrapolating in order to make recommendations. You are not expected to have references in this section. Instead, this section should show some original thinking. You are not expected to specifically discuss HR practices in other companies.

In order for a business to run successfully, it takes more than just making money. It also means being able to manage the people that make it all possible- the employees. A well-defined Human Resources practice in place makes it easier to accomplish the task. And that is what Marriot International has. Marriot’s practices are effective and efficient and are aligned with the company mission statement and goals.

Customer satisfaction is the number one goal for Marriot International, people first philosophy, Money is the big thing but not the only thing, and they promote within and build the brand.

HR practices at the Marriot, apart from a competitive paycheck, are to give its employees a good work life. Marriot’s culture and guiding principles had an influence on the company’s HR practices including manpower planning, recruitment and selection, training and development , employee retention and welfare initiative and grievance redress.
