Dear Customer Service Manager:
I recently visited the Applebees in Roseville, MN on January 15th, 2013 with a few friends and I was not very happy with the service provided.
To start off with, when we arrived, we were placed on the wait list and were told 15-20 minutes. Since there was four in the group, we asked for a booth and told them that we would wait longer if we could get a booth. They told that it would not be a problem. After 20 minutes went by, we were called up and shown to our table, it was not a booth. After the hostess seated us then left, I went back to the hostess stand and told them they were specifically asked for a booth and that we would have waited longer to get one. The lady told us that it would be a 20-30 minutes wait if we gave up our table as they just seated a group at a booth that just opened up.
This caused a huge inconvenience as we were on a time frame for dinner and if the hostess honored our request from the beginning, then the situation would not have happened.
Applebees should make sure that their staff is trained properly in handling situations, like a busy night. They should also listen to the customer’s request.
Thank you for response to this situation. If you would like to speak with me further about the situation, please feel free to contact me at ___-___-____.
Sincerely,
