Higher educational schools must implement a enhanced grading system than what they have today. The grading systems of today is producing a variety of issues. A couple of these issues include an increase in high grades and a decrease in high grades. Over the last few years the U.S has had an increase in the A’s that were given out which is referred to as grade inflation. Some colleges have shown ample anxiety about what they observe as grade inflation. These schools have tried to remedy the grade inflation and have caused grade deflation which is when the grades of the students drop. These problems with the grading systems affects the school’s reliability, the student’s development in learning, and the student’s selection of schools (M.S.U.M, 2013). We could remedy both grade deflation and grade inflation if we were to give the instructor a better grading system without senseless requirements on the grades that are handed out.

One of the main issues with the grading system that we have today is grade inflation. Grade inflation outlines a singularity happening in numerous college locations that displays a constant increase in the number of higher grades assigned to students. Thus Grade inflation is the propensity to hand out progressively higher academic grades for work that in the past would have been moderately lower. This increase in higher grades has caused many implications.

One of the main implications of grade inflation is it decreases the value and importance of a college degree (M.S.U.M, 2013). If everyone has the same academic grade, then it makes it harder to tell one student from the other. The rise in grade inflation is making it harder for the employers to differentiate between the more brilliant students from the somewhat ordinary students because almost everyone is receiving an A grade (Pushka, 2014). With these problems of not being able to distinguish between the students brings a whole new problem....
