Since there are so many hair products on the market, shampoos, hair conditioners, hair oil, hair masks, that we might feel confused when we need to make a choice among them.

1. The main topic of the experiment: Is the no silicon shampoo works better than the shampoo that contains silicon?

2. Hypothesis: I expect the experimenters show better hair condition for no silicon shampoo than the shampoos containing silicon. (better hair condition means less hair loss, more strengthen hair root, less dandruff, etc)

3. Research design: I’m going to invite some experimenters in the same age range and similar hair conditions to participate the experiment. I will divide them into 3 groups, which group contains 7 people. Each groups would be assigned a particular brand of shampoo and conditioner, make sure the experimenters only use the product I assign to them, not combining with any other brands of hair products. Two groups would be assigned for two brands of shampoo and conditioner with silicon and the third one would use the hair products without silicon. After the two weeks of experiment time, they would report the change of their hair condition to me. Then I will analysis the collected results and make a final conclusion.

4. Selecting subjects: Since many people around me have different kinds of problems with their hair, I decide to choose ones have similar hair problems to be the experimenters: oily and hair loss after their shower. It’s quite significant to make sure the ones I choose are using the hair products right now and the experimenters must have quite similar number of times to wash their hair in their normal life. The same age range would also be important. I choose 21 of my friends and their age range is 23~26.
