1. Draw the major stages of Lawn Care Company's Value Chain. What are the competitive priorities of Lawn Care Company?

Competitive Priorities:

They need to focus not only on producing the best products but also a service of applying and planting this products.

One of the Lawn Care’s competitors began an application services for parks and golf courses and have started applying the fertilizer and grass seed for its customers. They are even planning to enter into residential lawn care application service target market and this way many household owner become potential customers.

On the other side, the competitor sold the customer a beautiful lawn with a promise of no hassles. This shows you’re after sale services that you provide to your customers. It satisfies your customer and brings you more business because of the trust they put on you.

The application service bundled to grass seed and fertilizer and the customer want best value possible for the money spent. When you get something for free you publicize it more and more! This concept helps you fetching new customers and expanding your business.

2. What are the problems with Lawn Care's current strategy, customer benefit package, and value chain design?

The Problem with Lawn care’s current Strategy, customer benefit packages and value chain design that I could identified are listed below:

* As company’s mission is to provide right product on right time to right person, they put loop whole in the chain by not providing an application service.

* In this situation, even if products are the best but the method is not proper, it’s of no use and it affects company’s reputation.

* Difficult to retain existing customers.

* Difficult to gain market share by loosing trust from the customers.

* Overall revenue and profit decreases
