Nancy faced different levels of stress in her workplace as well as her family life. Her fear of losing her job and her natural desire to help everyone greatly contributed to her high levels of stress. Above all, taking care of elder is not an easy job, and requires a lot of concentration in providing the quality care and treatment to her mother. Her daughter seemed to increase the pressure, did not offer any assistance and left the house. We can say that all there are many current and cumulative reasons that made life seem too difficult to handle for Nancy, maybe committing to a lot of working hours seem not only a fear of losing the job, but a way for her to be so busy and have no time to think or evaluate the situation she is in. She hardly has given her body or a mind a rest and keep in take lots of jobs and responsibility with no one can talk to or express her emotions.

The pressure of life that people are afflicted with range from things at work and home to things that are happening on a societal and global level, all which may increase the issue of heavy smoking in Nancy’s case. Smoking is more likely to occur as an escape or a relief of stress or a means to get rid of their problem even if it is a temporary and easy solution. People do not realize the negative impact that these substances can have on the brain, heart and the body overall. Stress takes different forms and shapes can be as a result of workplace, family or emotional problems and adversity can come in the shape of family or relationship or health problems and financial stressors, etc. People regulate resilience when a terrible or difficult situation and experience become of out of their control limits. Hence, resilience is the ability to live, and overcome the negative thinking and face the difficult situation or experience in a positive way.
