That feeling of wonder, like your mind and body aren’t connecting, leaving your soul lost in between, almost making it so convincing that you don’t know who you are. Burning Like the lit end of a cigarette but falling as the fire turns to ash. The confusion you feel as one moment you feel so alive then withered to nothing as of the instant you think to yourself, am I happy with whom I am? As you adapt you begin to learn living in that moment. When this familiarity is instilled in you for such a long time there is no way you can see yourself any other way. Realising the ‘you’ that you thought you were has taken a new direction. What happens next? Are you still the same person you were? You still want to be that old you, but the you today has suppressed anything old because the scars from the past are too painful to reflect in your new way of living. You tend to believe that everything is manageable when it comes to ones self, its hard when you are your worst enemy.

My first love was like poisonous fruit, sweet and indulgent at the beginning, until it turned deceiving and bitter. Paralysing me, putting my life on hold, numbing me into something less that what I dreamed to be. At the beginning everything is perfect, you can’t see your life without the person, you give them your all and you are certain they are as head over heels for you as you are for them. This love is like no other, it’s a fairy tale and you know in your heart that it will be smiles and happy endings, Until slowly the pages of the story begin to tear away as you start to wake up to reality.

Tears start to drench the pages, the words are dark and conflicting, the sentences don’t seem to make sense and you can no longer make reason of the story. Fairy tales just turn into plain tails and the tragedy becomes the relationship itself. The twist is that there are double lives being lead. Fairy tales don’t let hearts break and prince charming is never the type to use his charm to lure other women....
