Leaders like managers and supervisors lead the way and motivate employees. Some have a couple of employees as others may have hundreds; the important thing is completing the task of finding the ways to motivate each personnel as it may be very challenging but never impossible for a great leader. Each leader has different qualities, characteristics and skill; each must find the best way they can to motivate and complete the mission as a team. Each employee will have their own tasks and duties and depending on them the leader will find the ways to motivate him or her to maximize production and sustain a positive workplace. Using the DISC assessment will help leaders create a more individual motivational plan based on their unique characteristics, create strategies and creative planning.

Motivational Plan

Motivation has many meanings but generally is defined as the process that makes someone start something, guides, and maintains positive behaviors to accomplish the task, goal or mission. It also involves the human part which includes, social, emotional, and positive or negative vibes that will reflect on a unique behavior on an individual. "The term motivation refers to factors that activate, direct, and sustain goal-directed behavior... Motives are the "whys" of behavior - the needs or wants that drive behavior and explain what we do. We don't actually observe a motive; rather, we infer that one exists based on the behavior we observe."(Nevid, 2013)

There are three theories of motivation proposed by famous psychologists. The first one is the instinct theory of motivation which suggests that behaviors of each human being are motivated by instincts, which are fixed and inborn patterns of behavior since the day each is born.
