INT 3054: JUNIOR SOUNDINGS

Assignment: Capstone Essay

The requirements for Junior Level Soundings are different than the preceding Soundings courses. Successful completion of the course requires you to attend at least three (3) Soundings events with acceptable responses submitted via Moodle for each, AND to write a capstone paper about your experience. The details of this paper are as follows:

Capstone Essay:

As you are now reflecting back on Soundings, consider how the events you attended and your experiences here at Castleton (both academic and extracurricular) combine to contribute to your growth as a student and citizen. What connections can you find between Soundings events and general education classes or coursework in your major? Did any events change your perspective on your studies or future plans? With this in mind, write an essay in which you reflect on how your Soundings experience has influenced your personal and/or intellectual growth, your study in your major, and your future plans. Using at least two Soundings Events as examples, discuss how these events affected you, and why. Please make thoughtful connections between the events and your Castleton experience and career path.

Your essay should be thoughtful and well written, drawing on specific examples from Soundings, your coursework, and your future goals to help support and explain your view.
