Concept

The following is a proposed storyboard and wireframe mockup of the Widgets R' Us website. The Widget R' Us site will be designed once we have agreed that we have captured your requirements adequately. The concept behind the site is to be the authority on all things widgets. Not only will we sell widget and all widget products, we will also provide news (via blog articles and curated content) for the widget buying community.

Goals

The goal of the proposed website is to sell 4 widgets per day within the next 2 months. The proposed goal of 4 sales per day was created from research on the Widgets4cheap.com website data. They were able to sell 10 per day within their first 60 days of operation (our goal is conservative). Sales will be monitored through our third party vendor website, traffic will be tracked via the Google webmaster tool. The overall purpose of the goal is to sell our product.

Storyboard Structure Justification

The storyboard the we created utilizes a hybrid structure. As you will see the main pages of the site conform to a linear structure, while the product page will offer the user a change to drill down into different categories. The blog page will serve different articles that link to one another. The blog articles will have a one way relationship with both the homepage as well as the products page (products can have their own blog post and blog post can be featured on the home page, this is done for organic search purposes).

Wireframe

Branding is key to initial and ongoing sales of any product. Having the brand logo across the top of every page of the website will not only build brand awareness, but also help with the continuity of the overall website.
