1. What characteristics would be desirable to you when selecting your

project team? List at least six.

1). Have initiative to spare / to be prepared from the start, ready, willing and

eager to get the show on the road.

2). Positive influence over their peers.

3). Have the talent, knowledge and familiarity necessary to accomplish the

undertakings assigned to them

4). Communicate well and know how to express themselves in a way that gets

their point across without offending others.

5). Team members who are committed to the company or organization as well as

the project in general are highly effective.

6). Creative thinkers are especially helpful during project planning.

2. Describe major responsibilities of the project manager.

: Planning is an essential duty of a project manager. Determining what needs to

be done, who is going to do it, and when it needs to be done is all part of the

planning process and determine the organizational structure of the project team.

3. In which organization does the project manager have the most authority

and why?

: A projectized organizational structure does the project manager have the most

authority. While employees within the company may still be grouped into

departments, the employees may have primary responsibilities of providing

support services to projects or report directly to the project manager. Project

teams are often collocated or virtual collaboration techniques are frequently

used to maximize efficiency of project work. The project manager has significant

authority and independence over project resources, budget, and staff. The

project manager is at the top of the hierarchy in the projectized organizational

structure.

4. In what type of matrix structure would a project manager most likely

have a command of technology?
