McDonalds vs. Burger King

The Fast Food Choice:

The fast food industry has always been a very lucrative industry that continues to grow. The convenience of being able to quickly purchase fast food meals has weighed in on society’s obesity issue in families around the world. Eating to many meals from fast food restaurants that do not provide enough nutrients can lead to health issues. Places like McDonalds and Burger King are at the top of the fast food industry.

McDonalds-is a fast food restaurant mostly known for their famous French fries and apple pies. They serve fast food items such as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, and milkshakes for lunch or dinner and items such as hotcakes, bacon egg and cheese biscuits for breakfast. While compared to Burger King, who sells breakfast, lunch and dinner items such as bacon egg and cheese croissants, biscuits, Whopper’s and chicken tenders for lunch or dinner. While both companies operate in the fast food industry they have similar and different issues that we will be able to address. By addressing the following questions we will be able to better understand how McDonalds and Burger King operates by answering the following questions:

1. What is the company political stance for both companies?

2. What is the company social stance for both companies?

3. What is the company ethical stance for both companies?

4. What is the legal differences facing both companies?

Politically McDonalds views on eating nutrition is somewhere in the middle. While they have attempted to improve their menu they have not changed it completely. They are in competition with places like Panera Bread and Whole Markets who sell healthier items in their restaurant.
