Training and Development Proposal

It's becoming a familiar refrain in the banking industry: The expansion of digital channels, along with a growing customer preference for self-service, is rendering the traditional branch less productive prompting a scaling back of branches and related workforce. The strategy includes significant projected employee reductions. While this strategy has shown to decrease banker and teller personal the strategy has also show to attract an increase of 20% in advisory staff. For Chase to best capitalize on its 242.39K employees I suggest a strategy that is not only cost effective but will also prove to be a step in the right direction towards a more sustainable workforce. I suggest that JPM Chase cross-trains its Personal Bankers in all aspects of the business. Develop a training program strong enough to be able to get Bankers ready for the next step in their career. Cross train employees to the point where they can help the clients walking through the door on a daily basis but also have the ability to have enough knowledge and confidence to discuss financial investing. Below is my proposal on how JPM Chase will be most successful in the training and development of its current employees to make them into the Advisory staff they will need going forward.
