ABSTRACT

This assignment explains about the delivering business value with IT at hefty hardware. In this assignment, I have learned about how important is the collaboration between IT and business departments for the success of the project. I have also learned that communication between the departments play an important role for the success of the project. I have referred many websites and eBooks to know about this topic in more detail.

1. How effective is the partnership between IT and the business at Hefty Hardware? Identify the shortcomings of both IT and the business?

Based on the mini case provided, Hefty hardware has the poor communication between the IT department and the business department. The partnership between IT and business departments did not function effectively. Both IT and business departments have no integration, planning and time management. There were department politics and disrespect of others. Hefty does not have a good plan that drives both the IT and business department. Moreover, the IT department did not gave any explanation about the basic needs and clear idea of their plan to business department.
