Personal Accoutability

In this essay I will go over three topics. I will cover personal accountability, and why it is important to take responsibility for your own actions. I will also cover reckless driving, and what the consequences are and could be from driving recklessly. Finally I will cover why I wanted to be a United States Marine.

In this paragraph I will be going over personal accountability and why it is so important. I will also cover the consequences of not being accountable for yourself. It is important to be accountable or yourself because you have to be able to take responsibility if you mess up, whether it be a project, an accident or even something small. You need to be able to admit when you messed up when someone asks. Imagine going through your entire life without taking personal responsibility for absolutely anything. How would this method of operation affect your life? Day to day life would have no order and everything would be crazy, being able to advance in your career field would be impossible, and concepts like being able to maintain good and healthy relationships, whether it be with friends or even with a significant other such as a boyfriend or girlfriend, would quickly become overwhelming and unfeasible. The ability and drive to take personal responsibility in life is a central focal point in the areas of creating a successful life, defining goals and priorities, and creating a structure with which to effectively guide your life. When working toward a successful life, personal responsibility is a very important quality that everyone needs to have but unfortunately not every person you deal with on a daily basis has that quality. The concept of personal responsibility is more than just being accountable for your mistakes, it involves being accountable for your actions in the public eye and even in private, both to yourself and to others.
