The trends of staying fit, building muscles and enhancing the energy levels have made many individuals turn to the rapidly growing industry of Nutritional and dietary supplements. The businesses in this industry create vitamins, herbals remedies, nutritional supplements and other health products. Some of the leading companies in this industry are, Herbalife, NBTY, USANA (situated in the US), Arkopharma (in France), Nelsons (in Uk), Tongrentang (in China), Bioplex and DSNA Nutritions.

The competition in the industry is high as large companies gain their profits from economic of scale manufacturing, research and development, and marketing. On the other side, the small companies in this industry effectively keep up the competition by developing the niche products to fill in the gap in this market.
