Pain and Sufferig

This would be my second attempt at going to get my license and today I was determined to make it happen no matter what. I knew I was more than ready since I had been practicing more with my mom as the day approached us. October 7,2014 was the day, my alarm went off and I got up to take a shower so that I could begin my day, which involved going to class and then going straight to the RMV on Liberty street in order to take my road test. While in the shower I began to do my hand signals and reciting them aloud as I did the motions, this was just to make sure I didn’t forget them. After my shower I got dressed and began my walk up the hill to school. On this walk I was repeating the route that my driving instructor had taken me on during my senior year just to see if I remembered where to do my three point turn and my parallel parking. I knew that because of all the practice it would have been impossible for me to forget how to do those maneuvers successfully.

I sat in my English class restless and watching the clocking waiting for class to be over so that I could go driving and prepare for my test that was at 2:00. At around 10:40 Professor Cavallo announced what the homework would be and when it was due, and then he dismissed the class. I rushed out of the room and walked at a very fast pace to get home. Once I arrived at home I drove my mother around for about two hours practicing everything from my three point turn to using the windshield wipers because it was supposed to rain around the time of my test. I was told to arrive at the RMV at least fifteen minutes before my scheduled test time to be sure that there was enough time to check in and wait for further instructions. My mother and I stood against the wall since the bench was full of other people waiting to take their road tests. At around 1:50 the window swung open with a small bang.
