If you say brain specialists know human brain structure the most, then I will say psychologists understand our brain better then brain specialists. Brain specialists can only realize the appearance of brain structure and how to doctor physical disease. However, psychologists are able to interpret human’s thinking process and mental reaction. I would say they are the one who familiar our domination, brain.

Brain structure can be observed under experiment apparatus. Biologist can analyze different parts of brain. These are concrete. While psychologists study human’s brain in a non-concrete way, which they only observe human’s activities and estimates their cerebration.

In the first few lessons, the lesson about defence mechanism is the most impressive one. I used to hear about ‘conscious’ and ‘unconscious’. Now is the time I have to have a deeper understanding of them. Unconscious bring out defence mechanism. After I knew some of the example of defence mechanism such as repression, projection and denial during lecture, I tried to search more related information about them. Actually there are many types of mechanism. Now I pay more attention on looking out people action. I find that some kinds of mechanism really can be seen on body. Here is one of my experiences. My classmate and I first met in orientation camp. He said I was not so earnest in the camp. I felt quite strange about it. After few weeks, we need to form group to complete homework. He said he did not want to be teammate of a boy who was said by him to be not serious on academic work. Finally, he and I were in the same group. He slept and played mobile during the group meeting. He usually relied on others. I think he performed one of the defence mechanisms, projection.

Having more understanding of people’s mind benefits my profession. I am studying BBA major in Management. I have a lot of chance to communicate with people. The situation is quite similar as a public...
