How to manage a technology company

If I am starting a new high tech business, I have to think about my culture, decision making process, ethical beliefs and organizational structure to manage my business. A good management will take me a successful business.

One of the most important factors to manage my business is organization culture. It is the set of important assumptions about the organization and its goals and practices that members of the company share. Cultures can be strong or weak. A strong culture is one in which everyone understands and believes in the firm’s goals, priorities, and practices. A strong culture makes business successful. As the leader of the business, I want to deepen my understanding of the organization and determine whether its culture matches the challenges it faces. There are four useful clues about culture. First, corporate mission statements and official goals are a starting point, because they will tell me the firm’s desired public image. Second, business practices can be observed. Then is symbols, rites, and ceremonies give further clues about culture. Last, the stories people tell carry a lot of information about the company’s culture. A strong culture combines these measures in a consistent way. There are four types of organizational cultures, group culture, hierarchy culture, rational culture and adhocracy culture. Developed and utilized in an effective and long-term manner, an organization's culture may assist the employees within that organization in working together to accomplish their assigned tasks and objectives. Organizational culture is enduring and complex, and may have both a positive and a negative effect on the staff and the workplace. In many ways culture will determine the survival of an organization over the long term, especially in volatile industries.
