During this Ethics Game Simulation, the user takes a journey through two ethical dilemmas inspired by true events that have happened many times over. When paying the Quality control manager for G-Bio Sports, it was my responsibility to formulate plans and make decisions when these dilemmas came up. First was a batch of contaminated products that reached the public. The second was a decision to start selling products that do not measure up to the safety standards of the United States. This paper with reflect on the virtues, values and morals of the situation. These situations are real examples of problems the worker faces in their careers and the decisions they lead to.

In the first dilemma, contaminated products slipped through quality control and into the public. The product contained high levels of a patented ingredient that many of their products contain. Through studies, the ingredient had a relatively low risk of in healthy adults. People with a weak immune system had a higher risk, especially with constant use of the product. During the dilemma the user analyzed the situation and clarified the specific factors that needed to be addressed. The stake holders were clarified and the how they would be affected to help shape the decision. The duties and responsibilities were also clarified to determine what the user’s decision would mean to the public. I determined that I had to show the stakeholders the obligations I had were to protect their best interests, most importantly the consumer. I made the decision to disseminate information broadly about increased risk for specific groups, and offer to replace contaminated products or to refund the purchase price.

The second dilemma involves a common practice in many companies involving business outside of the United States due to the laws we abide by.
