STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I, Prashanth R Reddy, strongly believe that Education is cultivating one’s strength, learning self-discipline, listening, and desiring to learn. At this point of time, I can confidently say that I have learnt to learn. It is a matter of faith for me that if we set out to do something then the time, energy and passion that we invest in the job is justified only if we give it our best efforts.

I have done my high school studies with ICSE (Indian Certificate Of Secondary Education) syllabus which is said to provide esteemed education in India. My school gave equal importance to studies and extra curricular activities; it conducted many science fairs and took us frequently to science fairs conducted in other schools. Although I secured 57.33% in 10th, I was good at Mathematics, Physics and Computers. I chose MPC (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) as major in 12th and secured 82.30%.

I have majored in “CSE (Computer Science and Engineering)” in Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology and secured 65.30%. Since my school days, I was interested in Computer Science and I was very strong in computer skills, especially in programming. With this interest I chose CSE as my Undergraduate Major.

During my undergraduate course of study I was exposed to various subjects like, C & Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming, Design& Analysis of Algorithms, Operating Systems & System Programming, Data Base Management System, Micro Processors, Computer Networks and Advanced Unix Programming. I stand among the top 10 in the class. I have been an active participant and winner at many college level competitions.

Of all the subjects, I have enjoyed learning C and Java Programming, Data Base Management System, Artificial Intelligence and Operating Systems.
