TECHNIC: PERSONALIZATION

Learn to listen

start from where you are when approaching material

watch your partner and what he brings to you react out of that (one word exchange), watch your partner face, imagine partner as your best friend, someone who betrayed you, disappointed you, as worst enemy, absorb eyes, nose, ears…be obsessed with your partner

IMMAGINATION AND CONCENTRATION

USE very first impulses

Begin practice watching the partner, observing the partner

BE RESPONSABILE AND OBSESSED WITH YOUR PARTNER

READ THE PLAY 3 TIMES.

1st: for the story (plot points)

2nd journey of character

3rd write all things said about your character ( think in 1st person…I m a character)

VOTE

V/ victory (always make sure you are going for a victory, what is your victory in a scene testable in a moment, stakes are high

O/ obstacles 99% of time is other person

T/ tactics identify the automatic tactics and if you see u have only 1, change it and make more tactics, overall goal of character

Exercise: 1) one word exchange 2)use whats going on with you 3) react even if your partner is not reacting, react on partners non reacting

Assume your character as YOURSELF. Follow your character journey.

SUPEROBJECTIVE: what you want in entire story (robbing a bank per example)

STAKES: what can be gained or lost…director can ask to raise stakes or make them higher..always play with high stakes

BACKSTORY: you have to know the story, history
