Individual Peer Review Project

For this project, I will be reviewing the five group projects that were submitted in the earlier part of the course. The project topics include: ISO9000, Six Sigma, Green Operations, Greening the Supply Chain, and The Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. During my evaluation, I will highlight what aspects of the project are favorable, and also identify potential improvements that can be made, in a positive and constructive manner – if any.

Specifically, I will recap what lesson I have learned about each topic, and restate what I think the groups’ main objective was.

Overall, the purpose of this evaluation is to learn about each topic, and to observe what I think is high quality work prepared by other students. Also, please note that I will not be evaluating the general layout of the paper, other then to comment if it appears professional, and of undergraduate stature.

ISO9000

The first paper I would like to evaluate was submitted by group 5, entitled “ISO9000”. The overall appearance of this paper is wonderful. It has a professional format, and contains a cover page, an introduction, body, conclusion, and works cited/bibliography. It has accurate page numbers, is double spaced, and the proper indexes are displayed.

The introduction of this paper is sufficient. It is helpful to be made aware of the background of the International Organization for Standardization, and how the name came into existence. The introduction also clearly states what the group will discuss in the paper.

The body of the paper includes defining ISO Certification, what types of ISO Certification are available, defining ISO 14000, how to become ISO 14000 certified, the benefits of certification, and the challenges of certification.
