Legends of Latin America

The legend I will be talking about in class is Tito Puente. He is a famous legend of Latin America. He was born in April/23/1923 in the streets of New York City. He has served in the navy for three years during the World War II. His passion for Latin music developed at the age of 9 years old as his father wanted him to be involved in music in any way. After the completion of high school, his passion grew as he joined the Julliard School of Music where he completed education on orchestra. After finish his school, he went in to record various amounts of music known as Latin jazz. With the making of Latin music, this had leaded to be passion rather than a hobby. Puente had pursued his career at a young age, as at 19 he released his first album. His love for music is shown through the melodic songs written in Latin jazz. He is an iconic figure in Latin culture due to his contribution in redefining Latin jazz and the redefining music with different songs to represent a person’s emotions. His longevity and drive for perfections has leaded him to be able perfectionist in the science of Latin music. He is recognized as a developer of salsa music and will be remembered for his contribution to Latin jazz forever. But more important, his good will, talent and spirit have propelled him to overpass racial, cultural, and generational gaps. His concerts are attended by a colourfully diverse mix of people from every race, age, and religion. He is iconic figure in Latin culture due to his diverse branching of music to the public. His music was written for all the age group in his audience as his overall focus was to warm the hearts of the people and get them indulged in his melodic and soothing Latin jazz. Also, Tito tended to make music that will make a person feel better and just vibe to it as his songs were written in Latin and pronounced to be understandable by many.
